Poets world-wide support for the Hazara population

Stop Killing Hazaras

Stop Killing Hazaras

Here is a very sad news: On Saturday, February 16, 2013, about 300 Hazaras killed and injured in Quetta city of Pakistan. You can find some videos and pictures of this attack here:

Article 2 of convention on genocide describes the dire situation of the Hazaras:

Read the Open letter from World-wide Poets addressed to United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon

Article 2

In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:(a) Killing members of the group;

(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;

(c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;

(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;

(e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

In this situation, international media and politicians ignore genocide of the Hazaras.

Next Monday, I’ll go to police office in Oslo, asking for permission for several days hunger strike in front of Norwegian parliament  starting from Monday February 25. We forced to go to hunger strike and I asked Hazaras in European countries, USA, Canada and Australia to take the same action.

I request you to kindly continue supporting the Hazaras by signing the poets letter if you have not signed yet. I also request you to send individual messages to world politicians and international media to stop this genocide.

I will update our open letter with yesterday’s bloody attack on Hazaras and will post your messages on www.hazararights.com.Thank youKamran Mir Hazar
